These are really nice. The sizing is not traditional, and the profile is a bit flat compared to round versions, but they still work as expected. They were easy to learn and use on the first try. The build feels sturdy,y and they have held up without cracking after repeated use. Overall, enjoy using them, and they have been reliable across multiple sessions.
I have always used metal Japanese chopsticks, which are round, but I have always wanted to try Korean flat metal chopsticks. So I was very happy to receive these.
The benefit of metal chopsticks over wood is that they are more hygienic. Wood can hold bacteria and mold over time, which can cause illness. The downside is they can be more troublesome when eating certain foods, like udon noodles. The metal makes it harder to grip, so it can take practice. I thought the flat chopsticks would be even more difficult, but they are surprisingly easy to handle, and I have found they grip noodles much better.
They feel a bit different in the hand but not uncomfortable. I like the matte finish because I am able to grip them better versus the shiny smooth finish.
These are dish washer safe and can be submerged in water without worrying they will warp like wooden ones tend to.
I love the design they look very elegant. I don't mind the subtle gold color. They just don't match my other utensils and bowls, so I do wish they had a silver option.
The price may seem a bit high, but you do get two pair and they are very good quality. They will last a long time and are worth every penny, in my opinion.
I would definitely recommend these, and they would even make for a great gift.
I have several sets of Bapmoo cutlery and it's all excellent quality! Friends of mine were looking for Korean style chopsticks so I purchased one of the new gold matte sets as a gift for them as it matches their existing scheme.
The gold set is really beautiful, the packaging looks great... so much so I actually want to keep it for myself rather than give it as a present!
Thank you so much!
Material & Hygiene
Stainless steel construction makes these incredibly easy to clean and completely mold-resistant - a huge advantage over traditional wooden chopsticks. Dishwasher safe for convenient maintenance.
Grip & Functionality
The matte finish solves the biggest problem with metal chopsticks - slipperiness. Unlike glossy stainless steel versions, these provide excellent grip for both your fingers and the food you're picking up. The flat shape feels comfortable and stable in hand, even during extended use.
Design & Aesthetics
The matte finish with engraved patterns gives these an elegant, sophisticated look. They feel substantial and well-made - definitely gift-worthy quality.
Value Consideration
Yes, they're pricier than basic chopsticks, but the combination of functionality, durability, and attractive design justifies the cost. These should last for years with proper care.
Bottom Line
Finally, metal chopsticks that don't slip! The matte surface makes all the difference in usability while maintaining the hygiene benefits of stainless steel. Worth the investment if you want chopsticks that perform as well as they look.
Great for personal use or as a thoughtful gift for anyone who appreciates quality kitchenware.
My daughter loves to eat with chopsticks and wanted a pair that were "pretty" and worked great as well. She picked these out because they were metal and she loved the engraved art on the ends.
She was not disappointed at all when they arrived. She absolutely loves them. They are very solid and should literally last forever. The engraving on the ends is a very classy touch as well. We made beef and broccoli right after she got them and she loved how they worked as well!
If you're in the market for a couple of pairs of well-made and good-looking chopsticks, then look no further.
