My daughter loves to eat with chopsticks and wanted a pair that were "pretty" and worked great as well. She picked these out because they were metal and she loved the engraved art on the ends.
She was not disappointed at all when they arrived. She absolutely loves them. They are very solid and should literally last forever. The engraving on the ends is a very classy touch as well. We made beef and broccoli right after she got them and she loved how they worked as well!
If you're in the market for a couple of pairs of well-made and good-looking chopsticks, then look no further.
I have used chopsticks since I was a child. I never thought much about them until I used these chopsticks. The weighted feel of these flat chopsticks gives you laser like precision in picking up small bits of food. In Korean culture small plates of delicious side dishes called "banchan" are served with each meal to be shared with your family and friends. Good chopstick skills come in handy in the intricacies of sharing food from the same plates. Using these chopsticks will really up your game!
The chopsticks are a golden color with an engraved design that means beauty and protection. They are made of stainless steel and are dishwasher safe. They are the best chopsticks I have ever used!
Having lived in South Korea for a number of years, it is the place I learned to use chopsticks. I can use the rounded ones, but find the flat Korean style so much easier to use. I was looking for a couple more pairs and am so glad I found these. They are a tad thicker than the ones we got a Korean grocery store, but are still flat--which I like. They claim to be dishwasher safe and I don't see why they shouldn't be. (They are a gift to my hubby for his upcoming birthday, so I haven't washed them yet.) They are smooth and have a beautiful engraving at the top. I like them and they earn full marks--5 stars.
P.S. Speaking of gifts, they would make a nice addition to a gift box/basket.
This was my very first pair of Korean chopsticks, and I couldn’t be happier with them. The set comes with two pairs, beautifully packaged in a gift-ready box that immediately feels special. I actually plan on keeping one pair and gifting the other to my brother, since we both share a love for Korean culture. I think that’s part of why I was so drawn to these. While I didn’t need another set of chopsticks, I wanted something authentic from Korea as a way to connect more with the culture I’ve been learning about.
The design itself is gorgeous. These are stainless steel, but they’re finished with a matte gold color that feels really elegant, and the engravings at the top give them a traditional, elevated touch. They also have a nice weight to them. So, they’re solid and substantial in the hand without being uncomfortable to use.
One of the biggest differences I noticed right away is the shape. Korean chopsticks are flat and made of metal, which feels very different from the rounded bamboo or ornate wooden Japanese chopsticks I’ve used in the past. I actually love that these are stainless steel because that speaks to their durability. With wooden or bamboo chopsticks, I’ve sometimes had them warp or crack if they were accidentally left in water, but with stainless steel, you don’t have to worry about that. They’re dishwasher-safe, easy to clean, and built to last.
I also love that Bapmoo included a QR code that explains a bit about the history and reasoning behind the flat design. It makes the whole experience feel thoughtful yet educational at the same time. At around $18 for two pairs, I think these are a good value considering the quality, craftsmanship, and presentation. They’d make a wonderful gift for anyone who enjoys Asian cuisine or Korean culture specifically. For me, they’re not just chopsticks rather they’re a little connection point to a culture I’ve grown to admire.
